    Visit us at http://summer2008rpgchallenge.ning.com/

So, influenced by the "start at any time" spirit of 24 Hour RPG, I convinced a few friends to all make their own RPGs in a format similar to Game Chef. Somehow, I got motivated enough to make a dedicated site for it. Its URL appears above.

This is a pretty local thing, so far. Most of our participants live in Virgina, one lives in Maryland, and another in Pennsylvania. We only have 6 confirmed game-making participants, I think, and only three have make accounts.

The "Secret Ingredient" will be revealed at noon on Tuesday, July 23rd, and submissions are due by 11:59PM on Saturday, August 2nd. Currently, there are no prizes or even judges, but this is the Internet, baby! We can have those if we get together and make it happen!

    Take care everyone!

I just checked all three links from a different computer than the one I used to post, and all three loaded fine...

Is it working for you now?

Works fine. I think an admin may have fixed it for you?

I was cut and pasting the BB code from the identical announcements I posted RPGnet and ENWorld, 'cause I was lazy and Story-Games has a BB code parser. Immediately after I posted, I noticed an extraneous ">/<" was rendered as the second line of the body my post, but I didn't check to see if the link worked. :-O

    Looks awesome!

Since it's similar in goals and all, please feel free to make an announcement over on the Game Chef Email List over here:

Okay. I liked Game Chef just fine.
It'll be nice to have a whole week to finish this time, even if I probably won't have any cool art (*sob*)

I wonder how those 24 hour guys manage to do it. 24 pages in 24 hours! Holy crap.

Er... are you guys gonna do that thing where everyone who designs a game has to critique two other games? 'Cause that was a good idea.
I'd prefer a rule like: everyone who designs a game has to PLAYTEST two other games, but I know how hard that can be.

I'm not sure I can make mandates like that, but I'll strongly suggest that participants critique or playtest two other games.
